Thurlestone Shipping selects MDX Technology to accelerate price sharing on their Freight Forwards Desk

Wednesday 13th March 2024 – London, Singapore – MDX Technology (MDXT), a leading innovator in data sharing and workflow solutions for financial institutions, proudly welcomes Thurlestone Shipping (Thurlestone) to its expanding roster of clients. Thurlestone Shipping, a global dry cargo broking company established in 2004 and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Thurlestone Financial Limited, will leverage MDXT's recently launched highly customisable broker screens with WhatsApp connectivity for real-time price dissemination.

Thurlestone Shipping operates globally, providing physical information that complements the expertise of their specialised broker team. They are dedicated to developing emerging derivatives markets, such as those in Freight, Fuel Oil, and Steel.

MDXT is providing Thurlestone with a highly flexible and customisable broker screen solution, complete with WhatsApp connectivity. This enables them to efficiently 'blast pricing” in real-time to their clients. Given the prevalence of WhatsApp in the freight industry, this solution eliminates the cumbersome manual price copying and pasting processes. Instead, users can easily send price updates via WhatsApp with a simple point-and-click functionality, all from a user-friendly interface allowing them to reach exponentially more clients faster.

Andreas Loftesnes, Director at Thurlestone expressed their satisfaction, saying. "We initiated discussions with MDXT and were using the system in PoC the next day — the speed of activation was a key selling point for us it, is essentially plug and play. MDXT not only offered the features our brokers were seeking, but they were also incredibly easy to work with. We swiftly transitioned from a successful proof of concept to full production in just a few weeks. Our sales team is thrilled with the outcome, it is easy to use and facilitates personalised yet highly efficient communication with our clients. As we expand into different geographical regions, we recognise the value of partnering with agile and innovative technology firms like MDXT."

Nigel Someck, CEO of MDXT, added, "We are delighted to welcome another prominent shipping firm to our client community. Traditionally this sector has been underserviced in terms of technology, and like everyone, they aspire to gain an edge by embracing more digitally-driven solutions. Thurlestone has been a pleasure to work with, and we eagerly anticipate supporting them as they continue to expand. We are seeing huge demand for our broker-screens and messaging integrations from all corners of the derivatives market."

MDX Technology's broker screen solution is a game-changer in the financial industry, offering brokers the tools they need to excel in a dynamic and challenging market.
